This is the itemised list of the personal information the PawSwing app and service hold about you. The Privacy Policy explains the rules; this page is the inventory, kept in the same order as the export file you can download from the app.
Everything here is held by Pawswing Inc., 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
Your email address, display name, profile photo, region, language, preferred weight unit, account status, the time you last signed in, and the times the account was created and last changed.
Collected so you can have an account at all, and so the app can address you and show measurements the way you expect. Kept while your account exists.
For each sign-in method linked to your account: whether it is an email code, Google or Apple, the identifier the provider gives us, the email address on it, whether the provider says it is verified, and when it was linked and last used. For each sign-in attempt: the time, the outcome, the IP address and the app or browser identification string.
Collected so you can sign in, so a sign-in can be unlinked, and so we can investigate suspicious access. Kept while your account exists.
For each session: which installation it belongs to, when it was created, when it was last used, when it expires, and whether and why it was revoked, with the IP address and app identification string at the time.
Collected so you stay signed in between launches, and so every session can be ended if an account is compromised. Kept while your account exists.
For each one-time sign-in code: what it was for, how many times it was sent and tried, when it expired or was used, whether it was locked after too many attempts, and the IP address that asked for it. The code itself is stored only as a keyed one-way digest, so it cannot be read back.
Collected to sign you in and to stop codes being guessed or spammed. Kept for a limited period as an anti-abuse record.
An installation identifier the app generates the first time it runs, and with it the platform, app version, build number, language, time zone, whether notifications are enabled, and when the app was last seen.
Collected to keep your session bound to one installation, to tell which build a report came from, and to send notifications to the right phone. Kept while your account exists.
Which version of which document you accepted, for which region, when, from which IP address, with which app version and app identification string, and whether the action was an acceptance or a withdrawal.
Collected because we have to be able to show that consent was given and when. Kept as a compliance record, with the IP address and app identification string removed when an account is deleted.
For each cat: species, name, breed, sex, date of birth, whether it is spayed or neutered, weight, and a photo. All optional, all entered by you.
Collected to show the profile in the app and to label grooming records. Kept until you delete the cat or the account.
For each binding: the device it points at, the name you gave it, when it was bound and, if it ended, when and why. From the device itself: serial number, model, hardware revision, firmware version, lifecycle status, and when it last connected and last synced.
Collected so the device is yours in the service, so only your account can control it, and so support and firmware updates can be matched to the right hardware. Kept until you unbind the device or delete the account.
For each plan: the kind of plan, its length in days, the control mode, whether automatic advance is on, the day it started, the day it is on, how far through it is, the manual position if you set one, and the entry and exit counts the plan is measured against.
Collected to run the plan the device follows and to show your progress. Kept until the binding ends or the account is deleted.
The most recent state reported by each device: battery percentage, brush position, speed, state code, whether the cat is inside, firmware version and last error code, with the time it was observed. And for each visit: when your cat entered and left, the device's own timestamps, how reliable those timestamps are, and when the visit was synced.
Collected to show the device card and the activity calendar, and to work out the plan's progress. Kept until the binding ends or the account is deleted.
For each low-battery episode: when it started, the battery percentage at the start, the lowest and last readings, whether a notification was sent, and when it recovered. For each completed plan day: which day, when, and whether the notification was delivered.
Collected so you are told once rather than repeatedly, and so a missed alert can be investigated. Kept until the binding ends or the account is deleted.
Your notification preferences — device activity, battery, support replies, product updates — and each notification we have shown you, with its category, title, body, destination, when it was created and whether it was read.
Collected to send only what you asked for and to keep your message inbox. Kept while your account exists.
For each request: its number, category, subject, status, priority, the device it concerns, where you bought it, an order number if you gave one, the contact email address, and when it was created, last updated and resolved. With it, the messages both sides sent and the photos or videos attached, including each file's type, size, dimensions and checksum.
Collected to answer you, to keep a record of what was agreed, and to handle warranty questions later. Kept for as long as we may need it for a follow-up or a warranty claim.
For each profile photo, cat photo or support attachment: its type, size, dimensions, checksum, storage status and the times it was created and deleted.
Collected to store and display the file. Deleted with the content it belongs to; the file itself is removed from storage by a cleanup job shortly after.
For each deletion request: its status, when it was verified, when it becomes permanent, when it was requested, cancelled, processed or completed, the basis on which anything is retained, and the IP address and app identification string of the request. With it, a log of each step taken.
Collected to run the seven-day recovery period and to be able to show that a deletion was carried out. Kept as a compliance record, with the IP address and app identification string removed once the deletion completes.
The app keeps a log of its Bluetooth activity on your phone so a connection fault can be diagnosed. In the version you install from an app store this log stays on your phone and is never sent to us. If support asks and you export and send one, we keep it for up to 30 days.
Your location, payment details, phone number, gender, date of birth, contacts, messages, calendar, or the files on your phone other than a photo you deliberately choose. No health or fitness data. No advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software is built into the app, so nothing tracks you across other apps or websites.
You can download everything above from the app, under Me, then Privacy & data, then Export my data. Three kinds of thing are deliberately left out of that file:
Private files are not embedded in the export. It includes an authenticated link and a checksum for each one instead.
